Recognizing that a summer camp brochure needs to appeal as much to the parents as the children, for this project I worked with the Emerald City team to lean into nostalgia. I restyled their sumer camp photos to have a vintage feel, as if the parents were looking at photos from their own childhood. I also convinced them to move from a portrait to landscape layout for this brochure to allow for double-page photo spreads to show off the fun kids had in their classes and camps and provide a canvas for quotes from the parents.

As part of Emerald City’s marketing campaign for this year’s camp, they sent follow-up postcards targeted at specific age ranges, highlighting camps appropriate for those ages. They also hung 6’x3′ banners on location at two of their educational partner schools and featured Google image ads online. The cover photo, colors, and camp logo were the primary imagery used throughout the campaign.
