Theatre Rebranding Project

Marriott Theatre

Having worked with Marriott Theatre on a number of marketing design projects in the past, they approached me about updating their brand logo. They had had their previous logo for a long time, and felt that it has become stale and did not accurately reflect the energy, personality, and approachable nature of the organization currently.

I led the leadership team through a multi-day branding session to uncover the attributes they felt described the company and were important for the branding to communicate. These kinds of workshops also help all of the leaders of an organization get on the same page with how they view the company. They wanted a logo that contained energy, felt organic and personal and broke some boundaries, but still felt fancy, reliable, and high quality. To make the logo feel personal, I presented them with a number of hand-written options and they enthusiastically chose thism their current logo.
