For the 2018 Chicago Fringe Festival, the team challenged me to create a poster with little or no illustration. The concept we finally ended up on used quotes from audience surveys from the past few years, letting the festival's own patrons be their best form of advertising. We essentially used "word-of-mouth" as the basis for this campaign. It not only had the effect of making audiences want to see what everyone was talking about, but also reminded the workers and volunteers at the festival of the good their work produces.
